The Savanna.NET® software module .load improves automated pallet loading and container loading onto trucks and freight cars. The module collects technical information on the material flow and it works with all kinds of loads - any size pallet, carton, totes, tray, rolls, etc.
Savanna.NET® uses the information for coordinating subsequent processes. This prevents time losses and overlapping orders. With .load, the logistics system visualizes loading advances and optimizes its planning and distribution. .load collects all data and reports it directly to the subsequent warehouse functions.
Management of staging areas
The Westfalia software Savanna.NET® also manages staging areas in front of the shipping gates. As soon as .load assigns a route to a loading gate, it simultaneously reserves a staging area. The staging area can have labels for each individual load unit that belongs to a route.
After scanning the barcode, this allows Savanna.NET® to assign unloaded pallets to a staging area. When filling the individual storage bays, .load takes into account all loading sequences. This means that as part of a route, several unloading areas can be optimally managed.
